From 23 to 26 September, REHACARE 2026-one of the world’s largest international events dedicated to rehabilitation, assistive products and independent living-took place in Düsseldorf. The exhibition brought together more than 1,000 participants from 43 countries.

For the Georgian Wheelchair Workshop, participating in REHACARE was an important opportunity to increase our international visibility and support the continued development of our enterprise. The exhibition enabled us to introduce our social enterprise and Georgian-made products to a broader international audience, establish new connections with potential customers and partners, and strengthen our export opportunities.

For us, export growth is an opportunity to further improve our existing models, create new, modern and in-demand products, and strengthen the enterprise’s technical and manufacturing capabilities.

The development of our enterprise will also enable us to employ more persons with disabilities. The Georgian Wheelchair Workshop team already has many years of professional experience and relevant expertise. International cooperation and direct access to new technologies will further enrich this experience and help us serve both local and international customers according to high professional standards.

REHACARE was also an important opportunity to make Georgia more visible on the international assistive technology map. During the exhibition, we met companies, specialists and organisations from around the world that create modern assistive products, develop mobility systems, introduce new technologies and shape the future trends of the sector.
